Clearwater

Clearwater is an unincorporated community recognized as a local urban district in south central Manitoba. It is located in the Municipality of Louise. It plays host to the Harvest Moon Festival, a music and organic farming event which swells the community to over 3000 for three days. July 1st Clearwater annual baseball tournament is a big draw for the community increasing its population from 80 to over 1000 for the event. A close-knit community with a local grocery store and restaurant, hiking trails, rental facilities, event center, church, community hall, curling and skating arena, and ball diamonds.

Proud home of the Harvest Moon Learning Center and Harvest Moon Festival which happens annually in September.  Harvest Moon Society

The Hamlet of Clearwater was established in 1876. It was considered to be in the Northwest Territories, as the official boundary of Manitoba was the 99th meridian (which was one mile east of the town). In 1877, the boundary was extended to its present location. Take a walk down a side street and see two beautiful 100-year-old churches – St. Paul's Anglican Church was built in 1889 and its interior remains untouched by redecoration or design. Just a few steps away is Knox United Church which was built in 1893 at a cost of $1,625.00.
